Thanks for asking about the coconut oil. I was wondering the same thing thought maybe with the chocolate but wasn’t sure.

These were great with dark chocolate chocolate chips and coconut oil. I also tried them with butterscotch chips for a non chocolate lover and they were quite a bit harder to coat but perhaps with more coconut oil it would have been better. The taste with butterscotch chips was fine.

I made these tonight. They were so easy to put together and delicious to eat! I’m vegan and the recipe worked as the same for me. So good-thanks. I will make these often.

Perfect peanut butter ball.
My grown kids ask for these ALL the time.
One of my grandchildren is allergic to peanuts and chocolate. (I Know)
So I made him some with sunflower butter and no chocolate.
Same recipe, just have to keep in fridge so they hold up.
He loves them!

Ha! Thanks Kriss. The coconut oil is added to the chocolate and helps the consistency and sheen.

Hi Carley. For this recipe you could add a cup. Also check out our Peanut Butter Balls with Rice Krispies.

Hi Sherri. You can add one tablespoon of shortening or coconut oil to the chocolate to help make the consistency smoother and it also gives the chocolate a nice sheen.

I am wondering how to make them so there’s no flat side from letting them rest on a sheet tray…….hmmmmmm. And is that a ganache you garnished them with at the end?
