Hi Karen. Yes, you could add either or or possibly use extra crunchy peanut butter in the filling.

Can chopped peanuts and/or peanut butter chips be added to the filling for additional surprise?

I think the proportion of filling to outer covering is important: I had leftover filling and my cookies resembled sunny side up fried eggs, so I made some royal icing and decorated them to look like fried eggs! Cute! I also had some fun trying a spin on the cookie: I baked them as cupcakes. Some of the tops collapsed, so to deal with that, I made some fudge topping with sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and chocolate chips and used it to top the cupcake cookies. Try that- it is a lot for one serving but it is amazing!

Hi Jodi. We haven’t tried that with these cookies, but try our peanut butter stuffed chocolate cookies, peanut butter muddy buddy cookies, or chocolate dipped peanut butter cookies.

Hi Connie. Yes, there are so many sizes of scoops! I would say you are probably aiming for around 3-4 tbsp for the large and 1+ tbsp for the small.

I own varying sizes of ice cream scoops. Can you please give recommended measurements of the “large” and “small” scoops? Looking forward to spoiling my family with these. TIA
